Been in Tuscany several times I realized that it is not only about the hunt of the perfect landscape and the perfect cypress.
 

I stayed a few time in Pistoia, in this 16th century Medicean villa which was owned by the Rospigliosi family and was donated to the church.
Now a property of the Diocesi of Pistoia it is used for retreats or courses.
 
Apparently (to me at least) religion is an other dominant aspect of the Italian culture.
